You'd need to be a little more specific.

Being a fraud, or better put, being fraudulent and being incompetent are not mutually exclusive. I'm sure there will eventually be news. I expect it to be tantalizing and almost credible.

Okay, these two terms are mutually exclusive, but I already agreed with you that a news release would be bombastic.
The "soaring" PPS isn't proof of anything other than momentum. A NR can be bombastic, or valid and the PPS could soar by either means. Or it simply could stay flat or unimpressive.

So, try a little more specificity =)
