Good point if you think he kept them!

He did, but it was all a smokescreen. If he accept compensation in shares he makes the market believe that there is value in ordinary shares, and Siaf can keep up with the dilution and Solly fills his pockets from that source. Selling privately held shares would be public, but stealing from the company would be easy when CFO is on a different continent.
