Hi, Flo,

Have you given thought to calling the manufacturer or a local rep to get their opinion regarding filtering out the dust that goes to the furnace burners?

Whatever you put in or on that pipe will slow the flow of air to the burners.

Of course the intake pipe air is separate from the air that circulates in your home (better be!).
