Do you have access to a comprehensive clinical study of probabilities and manifestations associated with the Illinois Lottery? Aren't "investments" such as legal lotteries akin to long shot "pump and dump" schemes? The State pumps and their constituents dump their (hopefully discretionary) income into the common bucket of losses. Then some segment of these collective "losses" re-animate into hard dollars for education and to subsidize tax funded social support networks like welfare, public housing, DCFS (Department of Children and family Services). Where does the balance of these unencumbered "beneficial expenditures" go? In english: Who pockets the rest? And isn't there a Grand Lottery now that dwarfs individual state licensed (payout) illusions. The government got into gambling and now they want to get into marijuana. No one has to buy JBZY lottery tickets or any other OTC pageantry (real or fabricated). Deal with it. Don't buy, don't cry. If you want certain returns there are other means to achieve / or fail to achieve them. Nothing is guaranteed in this life but death and taxes. Play the lottery and pay less taxes. There you go. LOL
