it is not strange at all that he resigns
Not strange, but the timing couldn't have been worse... Now it sure seems that he is fleeing a sinking ship, a ship that he himself set the course for (either a direct part, or at least indirect). If he does this to avoid future lawsuits then he is mistaken...
