On both this board and the Anavex board there are those who would like to know more about both companies technology. Today falconer posted this interesting viewpoint on the Anavex board. I share it because it applies to both technologies IMO.

"I’ve been involved in a number of biological research projects involving new, innovative, heretofore unforeseen positive outcomes (Have a patent-pending designation for one of these.)

Common retail equity investors (most viewers here) have little experience or useful understandings of what must take place to a) perfect a new technology (the research and development effort), and to b) bring it to viable commercial usage. Having done a bit of this myself, and watched (and assisted) others in these endeavors, I know the crucial importance of keeping essential information undisclosed.

It is unwise to gleefully lay out any and all of one’s R&D findings for the public and competitors. Frankly, utterly stupid. Revealing any and all of one’s R&D findings simply compromises and complicates effective and efficient progress toward eventual commercialization. It complicates everything; facilitates nothing.

But that is not to say that internal research and finds shouldn’t be shared. It should be — but only with the right people, private parties that can add new information and tweak development matters. That’s exactly the function of high-value, paid-for technical advisors.

And Anavex Life Sciences Corp has those seminal folks, the vaunted team of scientific advisors (cf. https://www.anavex.com/our-team/ ).

Doubtless, Anavex insiders know far more than anyone on the outside about the intellectual property and research findings that will propel the company to greatness. I can competently read and understand the many public papers on the Anavex molecules. Those who know a bit of neuron physiology and cytology can (as I have) discern the expansive implications of therapeutic uses of the several Anavex molecules. (I’m extremely impressed with Anavex 3-71. Almost surely of even greater eventual importance than Anavex 2-73.)

Although with good intentions, expressions of concern about the company’s reluctance to “update” investors with otherwise inside information are unfounded. The Anavex people know exactly what they are doing. We AVXL shareholders will learn about the undisclosed information when appropriate. The share price will then ascend. ‘Til then, we are in good hands. "

I think falconer makes a lot of sense....for investors in any innovative technology!
