Wow. There are interim analysis in double blinded studies regularly! They are done by independent experts. They can come to 3 conclusions. The can stop the trial due to safety concerns. They can stop the trial due to futility. Or then can recommend acceptance of success because it would be unethical to continue the trial and withhold the drug from the placebo arm. This is happening all the time. Does Neurotrope not have interim analysis on their trials?
