Most scammers I have studied do, in fact, start off as SEC reporting. In fact, I believe, that any public company that plans to register shares needs to be SEC-reporting (except for certain exemptions for smaller companies, which I have not looked into in depth). This is the easiest way for scammers or any small business venture to raise capital (i.e. by selling shares).
And the number of PR's has nothing to do with being legit. I know several scam companies that published dozens of 8-K PR's. Many or even most of those 8-K's were either outright lies or least only half-truths. The real "meat and potatoes" for any investor is the info contained in audited 10-K's and audited or non-audited 10-Q's.
Btw, thanks for this interesting conversation. Not many times are folks willing to discuss a stock that can't be traded anymore because it has been revoked.
I have been following NEWC all along since revocation, and I think I can safely say that except for Opti Mist's posts the great majority of the posts here have been those complaining about Campo's actions in regards to this company(?) and most recently about filing some type of lawsuit against Campo. This would suggest that most still posting here have little regard for Campo's reliability except for Opti Mist.
I'm still trying to decide your stance on this subject. From what you have said, I am thinking that you believe that Campo still has some credibility or at least has a chance to recover some of his credibility. Is that a fair assessment of your position?
