Chris Christie- as Governor of NJ, was anti cannabis, but, he did sign limited medical cannabis legislation into state law.
Also he is a supporter of state rights. While he is not the best for cannabis, he is better than Sessions.
It will not matter for very long, I would expect that both houses of Congress will get off their asses and pass Federal Legislation. If/when they do, I have no doubt President Trump will sign it and of course, take credit for it.
Once it is signed into Federal law, it does not matter what the Attorney General thinks about cannabis.
The Cole memo was ok, but it is not the same as actual legislation.
