Wouldnt the deliberate dilution and the knowledge of an investigation , be even more jeopardy for those behind the dilution, as it would look like they're trying to abscond with as much ill gotten gains as possible? The accum dist and obv are not looking good right now. There does appear to be a sense of urgency in the dilution...

And to my shadow, if abscond is too prissy of a word for you, try saying it without a lisp for once...
