Facebook uses the Open Compute specs which utilize marine deep cycle batteries for backup power prior to emergency diesels (as of this PDF). A new battery revolution would certainly cause a lot of data centers to purchase batteries and upgrade. Open Compute is not just Facebook by far :). I live in Omaha. :)
