Well precisely, it is not the news about the commercial, it is the actual commercial! You're missing the point. A little company called Lojack was started in Massachusetts and local commercials on Boston radio made the item popular locally and eventually national commercials brought the item to millions. Everyone wasn't waiting for the commercials in anticipation of the product.
