I'll chime in with my opinion . . .

You suffer from having too much information. Let's start with what you do and don't believe. Better yet the moment you don't believe the content of a press release why are you still here?

I don't have much of a problem digesting the fact that a company that plans to buy a large amount of supplies from us, would desire a stake in the profits.

Take a chill pill or take a sideline, the drama is seriously snooze worthy.
