Driving While Intoxicated

Dec. 14 (1:19 a.m.) Timothy Edward Vance, 46, of Friendswood, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Vance was stopped for speeding in the 300 block of W. Parkwood Avenue. The officer approached Vance and asked him for his driver’s license. Vance appeared to be having trouble getting his license and exhibited signs of intoxication. He failed a field sobriety test and refused a breath test. (2012)

Public Intoxication
Dec. 9 (7:27 p.m.) Timothy Edward Vance, 49, of Friendswood, was charged with Resisting Arrest. A family member called police when Vance arrived at the home, was acting erratically and falling down. When an officer arrived, he contacted Vance who was standing in the roadway. Vance exhibited signs of intoxication, including the smell of alcohol on his breath. Friendswood EMS was called to check Vance’s vitals. Once he was cleared by the medics, the officer asked Vance to turn around so that he could handcuff him as he was being arrested for public intoxication. Vance pulled away from the officer, not allowing the officer to take him into custody. Vance wrestled with the officers until they got him under control. Vance’s class C public intoxication charge escalated into a class B resisting arrest charge with a $1,500 bond and a ride to the Galveston County jail. 2015
