Hope this is a minor issue. If by chance this is not settled out of court, financials will have to be disclosed and info available to the public. If someone screwed up, pay the tax and move on. Waiting to see if someone goes to the court house and inquires about the suit. You know that's coming. Best thing to do is dispose of the issue now.
