A must read, based on average acquisition price of about 4 times sales per estimations ( "He estimates that Unilever is likely to have paid an average acquisition price of about 4 times sales", https://www.ft.com/content/f1bdd72e-d5a9-11e7-8c9a-d9c0a5c8d5c9 ). they acquired Pukka Herbs Ltd. for about $120m ( 4X $39m sales), and would have paid DTEA about $640m ( 4 times sales, based on $40m/Quarter) respectively. DTEA is trading at about $60m but has an Equity (Net Assets) of about $90m, so I believe they would have paid even more than $700m to get the entire control of North America Tea Market.
btw, CEO owns 46% (average purchase price of $21.1/sh or about $525m in today's price, and hasn't sold even a single share).
