Further; Oslo Børs doesn't have the authority to rule over FINRA and set the ex date for a distribution for a US-stock on a US market. They could of course have coordinated with FINRA, but then it is strange that FINRA hasn't issued a PR at the same time... It would also have made more sense if Oslo Børs had stuck to the rules in the US if this was the case, but not a 100% indicator.
I'm not saying that you should sell your shares on Merkur and buy them back on OTC with a premium, but at this point I would be more surprise to find out that RD is wrong than if he is right.
