I do think it will be done as advertised simply because I think they have backed themselves into a corner. Anything but a solid process with solid known companies at this time would only hurt their cause and cast more doubt.

But if you asked me if I'm willing to bet on the matter, I'd only bet as much as I was willing to lose :)

The past of the company is exactly why even with this PR there is no movement. Again, it's wait and see. If the company does the drilling, and uses the vendors they stated with expected results then you will see a huge positive uplift. The only other option is either the results not being there, or they stray from the path they clearly stated they were taking which would add speculation that they are hiding something. Either of which would be extremely detrimental to the company and I don't believe would come back from.

Again, I'm extremely hopeful for sure. I have a lot to gain or lose by what happens. Not affecting me paying my mortgage though, but who doesn't like investments to prosper. That's why I do feel like positive process and news coming.
