I believe they got advice from their lawyers not to go through FINRA, and that's why we're having the distribution and not a dividend.



Yeah, and how do you think those lawyers would feel if the people who buy after the record date but before the ex-date, assuming they will qualify in accordance with exchange rules, decide to sue the company? When it turns out that SIAF did not submit to FINRA rules?

Not very plausible.
