Never owned any Cornerstone fund. I've been an expert on CEFs since I bought my first one in the 1970s. It traded at a 35% discount and, partially with my prodding, it soon liquidated at NAV.

Note that investing in CEFs in those days made more sense than nowadays when you can find various types of funds with almost no management fees. With regular mutual funds you don't have to worry about the fund falling to a discount if you need the money.

A deep, deep discount CEF might be a good purchase for a young investor with very limited assets looking for sensible diversification.
