Folks, one of the reasons I got into ATWT its level of integrity I believe ATWT possesses.
Someone once said that you could tell alot about people or businesses by looking at the groups they work with. I have overlooked this concept.
I am of the opinion that ATWT is a company which cares about things like integrity and altruism while at the same time caring about being a company based on high business principles.
1. They got into business by concentrating on things that would improve the safety of societies most vulnerable, our children.
2. As many have posted in DD they have done, ATWT has consistently said and performed in ways that seem to indicate they really do care about their investors.
They have been consistent and even when mistakes were made we could see efforts to correct them.
I have spent most of the time checking out ATWT, trying to look at financials and TA.

Last night I began really reading "West Bend's" home page based on the premise that if ATWT has the level of integrity I feel it does, they would be forming business relationships with companies of the same type of integrity or character.

When I read "West Bend's" home page, I couldn't believe I had overlooked some points that definitively support the idea that "West Bend" is a high caliber company.

First, look how they treat their employees. West Bend was one of 10 winners of "The Principal 10 Best Companies for Employee Financial Security award in 2006." This is an award given each year to companies who take high quality care of their employees. To me that indicates an important level of integrity. http://www.wbmi.com/Common/Documents/Prin-10-Best.pdf

Second,
http://www.wbmi.com/Common/ASPDocuments/default.asp
(following from thier home page)
"Since 1894, West Bend Mutual has come to stand for excellence through the use of innovative products, steady growth, and financial stability. This reputation for excellence is recognized not only by our policyholders, but by the insurance industry itself. Since 1973, we have maintained an A+ (Superior) rating by A.M. Best, financial analysts of the insurance industry. West Bend Mutual is also proud to be a member of the 2005 Ward's 50 Benchmark Group.
<IMHO this is quite an accomplishment because this recognition was bestowed on "West Bend" by their peers in the insurance industry. I think this says alot.

Third,
they believe so strongly in their beliefs that they are confident enough to post on their home site a "Vision and Mission Statement" like the following (taken from Home page @ http://www.wbmi.com/Common/ASPDocuments/default.asp)
Our mission:
To provide peace of mind to our customers through sound insurance and legendary service.

We will:
Operate with honesty and integrity
Achieve profitable growth through operational excellence
Continuously improve
Provide our associates with opportunities for growth and development
Create franchise value for our independent agent partners
Serve our community
Celebrate our success
Our Vision:
To be the premier insurance company in the markets we serve.

Fourth,
Most companies are concerned with just making money. If they do research that could help people they usually "sell" it. However, if you go to "West Bend's" home page and click on the tab at the top titled "Tips," You will find loads of advice that is free for all including non customers and is also information that could be sold. true it could also be used as a "hook" to get people to use "West Bend" the information still cost them money to compile and post and is free for our use and benefit.

There are many other indications on the site that point to "West Bend" being a company that cares and has built its reputation by doing what they say.
IMO this is a very positive indicator of the quality of ATWT as a company of the caliber of "West Bend", IMO, is not going to risk what they have built for over a century by forming alliances with companies that are not in line with their own publicly stated values and character.
Again IMO, the fact that a company like "West Bend" trusts ATWT enough to do business with them is a solid indicator that ATWT is worth my trust.

I may be beating a dead horse or going over information that has been covered but I thought it worth the time to look at one of ATWT's largest business relationships to try and gauge the type of company ATWT is based not just on their own actions and statements but also on who they associate with and who is willing to associate with them.

My apologies if this is of no use to anyone but I wanted to get it out there as IMO I think associates tell much about who we are.
