You are right - but - stock price did rice from about 1.3$ to something like 23.5$. If you have 12M$ company with share price 1.3$, company value would be 217M$ if stock price rose to 23.5$.
This company was sold for 10 times higher price. So - someone took 90% of the sales price.
That's the problem with these companies. If they discover something valuable, there is always means to "steal" it's value simply by printing lots of new shares. Multiplying total share count from 1 to 10 will make 217M$ company look like 2.17B$ company. Only original share holders will get just 10% of it.
