It is a person who is fallible and can be wrong (I've see it plenty of times before) who makes a prediction based on the charts. The charts themselves are passive and silent, they don't make predictions. One serious false step by a company (such as a candid admission that the attempt at a Mexican deal has been a failure) can consign a chartist's prediction to the scrap heap.
