Short interest is calculated by the FTD (fail to deliver) report.

They release two FTD reports for each month. These reports do NOT come out until the beginning of each month.

Why do you think the 1st half short interest has not been calculated on ANY companies yet?

It’s because the FTD report for October has net been released yet and will not be released until the beginning on November.
