Earnings are due Nov 14, one day before the ex-date. A coincidence?
One day before the payment date you mean.
It can be their plan of course. If so, then they might want to wait with the cash dividend announcement till the Q3-report so that they don't push the PPS way up now only to have it fall down again after the distribution - they do need to find a way to keep fed-up longtimers...
However, that would mean that they are planning (and depending) on filing on time
Might happen of course and they did choose to wait till the Q-report to declare the cash dividend policy, so they might be planning the same again
