News that, in a no-deal Brexit scenario, companies will need to submit a full data package in order to register their chemicals under a UK version of REACH has been met with disbelief from industry at a conference in London. In a move that has not been welcomed by consumer advocacy groups, the US EPA has used a 'Snur-only' approach for the first time since TSCA was amended in 2016. Its action comes in support of determinations that 13 new substances are unlikely to present an unreasonable risk.
