SRDP - As I was saying on that other shell/custodianship tracking forum - this is one of the oddest things I've ever seen.

I have seen lots of shells reinstated after custodianship was granted, but I've never seen a case closed before the custodianship was completed.

Different hijackers handle the reinstatement process differently. Some do it immediately after they are granted custodianship while others wait until they have found a buyer for the shell.

There are still several more steps that are involved in the custodianship process including status reports and a motion to dismiss the custodian. None of that can be done with the case closed.

This is the first time ever out of hundreds of cases I've tracked that I've seen the custodianship granted without a hearing and the case closed without any status reports or a dismissal of the custodian.

My best guess was that the closing of the case was a clerical error, but it still remains closed as of today so I'm left in just complete confusion.

I haven't paid close attention to the judges names that handle these cases (other than knowing that there is at least a half dozen different names I've seen), but I can say that I do not recall ever seeing this judge Adriana Escobar before. Maybe Ms Escobar isn't familiar with the process for custodianship petitions and closed it without realizing that the process isn't completed.

I guess time will tell.
