Here's a company that has fast track repurposed their technology for roadside testing in Canada. The TWO KEY POINTS of their "News Release" is the actual mention of The Drugs and Driving Committe of Canada and the actual timeline for doing so, which is Q4 2018. If you read the last rwo "News Releases" from Cannabix, neither NR has such straight forward language. Meaning...Cannabix is not sure when it will be ready for primetime. Otherwise, why continue to have shareholders wildly speculate day in and day out, week end and week out, month in and month out, year in and year out (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018...)?

device for cannabis quality control, detection of the Company's biomarker and developer of a human saliva testing device that determines concentrations of ?9-tetrahydrocannabinol ("THC"), methamphetamines and cocaine for use in roadside and work place impairment testing,

Saliva based testing is the preferred method of impairment testing by insurance companies, workplace safety programs and the Government of Canada for roadside testing.

Recent developments include finalization of the design of a Drugs and Driving Committee of Canada compliant roadside testing device with orders of prototype components being made for final design validation; also completed is a unique saliva swab which allows for quick collection of saliva.

Additionally, aptamers for detection of THC, methamphetamines and cocaine that effectively suppress background substrates are undergoing robust testing for accuracy and reliability in results.

The Company anticipates submitting the application responding to current requests for submissions of testing devices for consideration to the Drugs and Driving Committee of Canada, Q4 2018.

P.S. Currently the known Breathalyzer competition detects twice as many substances (BAC/THC) packaged into one device. I think it's worth considering IF a One Trick Pony device would be at a considerable disadvantage? Meaning, why purchase a one trick pony when you still need to purchase other device(s) to comply with the remaining portion of the impairment law? Just 1 opinion.

Example:

Cops already have a BAC breathalyzer on their toolbelt.

Cops buy Cannabix breathalyzer but still need spit device for cocaine and meth. Meaning they now have 3 devices. A BAC, a THC, and Spit device.

Cops nuy BAC/THC breathalyzer but still need device for cocaine and meth. Meaning they now have 2 devices. A BAC/THC, and Spit device.

In dealing with the Here and Now of spending taxpayer dollars on roadside testing...what seems more likely to be the overwhelming path forward in Canada?
