Having been a grower for 18 years and knowing people in the research end of it have learned quite a bit about MJ. Different strains (at least 12 that I have grown over the years) have different effects and qualities about them. The biggest misconception is that the THC makes the difference. This is completely false imho. The CBD’s and more importantly the terpenes or terpenoids are the components the control the type of highs and the medical benefits. Big Pharma tried to replicate MJ with the drug called Marinol which failed miserably because they concentrated on THC.
THC plays the biggest role in the high or how high you get and as we know that is strain specific as is the CBD and the Terpenes. When I grew full time White widow was one of the highest in THC which was 21-22%. Now we have some in the 30 ish range. Wow how high came you get. After a point does it really matter! Lol
