Mark C Perry huh?

Mark C Perry worked out of the same office as Richard P Greene for around 25 years from the late 1980s until 2012.

Greene can be found in a number of high profile stock scams during the 1990s including Sky Scientific which involved Robert Schlien and William David Jones, IRT Industries Inc which involved Richard Rossi and was used for a number of busts, and International Trade & Commerce Corp which was involved in a number of busts.

Richard Greene finally got busted in 2002 as part of Operation Bermuda Short (an undercover FBI sting that involved Greene's former associates Jones and Schlien as cooperating individuals) for playing a major role in the MovieO Network, Inc kick back/share selling scheme.

Greene was arrested and Indictment eventually working out agreement to plead guilty to just 1 of the 5 charges against him.

After his guilty plea, Greene came up for a hearing with the Florida State Bar in 2003.

This is what Mark C Perry had to say about his long time law partner and friend at the Bar hearing:

"The next lawyer to testify, Mark Perry, has shared office space with the Respondents for approximately 17 years. Perry testified that the Respondent was:

A competent lawyer. He knows what he is doing. He’s very good with clients. The clients like him. He seems to get his work done fairly quickly. He knows what he’s doing in the area that he works in.

He’s - - I think he’s an honest attorney. Perry also commented on the Respondent’s honesty and his belief that he is “a very honest, trusting person.” On the question of whether or not the Respondent should be given a chance and placed on suspension, Perry testified that:

I think whatever lesson there was to be learned from this, I think he’s learned it; no doubt about it. I think he’s a credit to the profession as an attorney, and I think he still would be. It’s unfortunate that this took place. But I don’t think it changes fundamentally that he’s an honest, good lawyer."

Richard P Greene only ended up with a 5 year suspension. By 2011, Greene had became eligible to practice law again, but he never took care of the paper work and fees to get his license renewed.

Even after Greene was suspended for 5 years following his securities fraud conviction, Mark C Perry continued to work out of the same office with Richard Greene. Perry and another attorney named Wani Manly (that also worked out of Greene's office) often fronted for Greene doing the legal work for public Issuers since Greene was ineligible to do it himself. A good example was the massive stock fraud Global Technology Holdings Inc (GTGP) which finally got suspended by the SEC in 2012.

Another good example was VDO-PH International Inc (VDPH) which used Wani Wanly as its attorney. Just like a decade earlier, Greene got busted by an undercover FBI agent for using VDPH as a kick back/share selling scheme.

Green was arrested again and Indicted again eventually getting sentenced to 18 months in prison which was later reduced to 12 months and 1 day.

Greene was also charged by the SEC in the scam

The SEC permanently banned Greene and he has been disbarred by the Florida state bar

Obviously Mark C Perry isn't the best judge of character.
