thanks for the, ahem, advice...

it was clearly pointed out formerly that this was part of that rule- preplanned/predetermined.
however much of what occurs is also subject to perception...
how many times have we all seen the CEO or another insider 'somehow' know to sell at/near highs only to be defended by the claim that it was all predetermined.
BONT was famous for this- a member of the founding family 'seemed' to be oh so incredibly lucky that the PPS would spike right around the time that options were exercised/shares cashed out.
then the PPS would sink for weeks.

predetermined price fluctuation?
maybe conspiracy theorists would have fun with that.
how many predetermined purchases has anyone seen at PPS highs? or planned sells at PPS lows?
would be a fine research assignment.

fact of the matter is that someone looks at insider trading- sees the CEO sold at a multiyear high- stock dumps day after day...- what's the perception?
not good.

time will tell, I suppose, if CEO was awshucks lucky when he sold at a high or not.
to me, luck is the residue of design.
