You are correct! As I already explained, a trend has NOTHING to do with a start & end points. It has to do with the general and definite direction exhibited, if there is one, over a given tone period. I could see a layperson not knowing the true definition of a trend, but coming from a former stockbroker, and one who claims to have taken higher math in college, it's astonishing they would fail to grasp the definition of a trend, bjt then again, its NOT REALLY astonishing when considering the JOB they are here to do, as previously visited.

I would think even elementary school level would teach what a true trend line is...

I I had a year long chart of the price of anything and it started at say, 1 cent.. Then it quickly spiked to 10 cents, then proceeded to steadily decline over the rest of the year period, winding up at say, 2 cents, then the starting & ending points show a final increase, but the trend line was without any possible doubt a DOWNTREND. Elementary, Watson. Of course I'm basing my opinion on common sense & good math skills. I have not looked up the definition of a trend but I will. I'm certain I'm correct, because the word trend means direction & indication, over time, as opposed to start/endpoints, no?
