I agree. Signing a deal for a partnership that is in the future is backwards.

They should form the partnership and sign the deal in the future.

Maybe they should grow the pot, sell it, then sign the deal and only after the deal is signed, get a lawyer to review the deal.

Before all this, they should set up a lemonade stand on the Lakota land with kids monitoring it. Collect money and announce through the local papers what they are doing.
