So this morning ill tell y'all something that really is not a news flash...should come as no surprise. For ole Rick Sane...that be me...i try very hard each and every day to stay on that straight and narrow path as i walk with Jesus. I try and live my life in a way that is pleasing to the One that saved me from myself...the world and satan...the One that saved me from eternal Hell..that be Jesus! But guess what...i still mess up from time to time...and the definition of mess up is Sin! I still have some rough edges...i still have some molding that God is doing on me to get me to where i need to be....but as we know...on this side of eternity...we are going to stumble and fall from time to time. Now in my mind..when i do sin...i like to think that it dont amount to much...however..i know that in Gods eyes...sin is sin...right? However....that thought dont give us a license to sin...but thru the grace and mercy and love and forgiveness of King Jesus...my goal each day is to be the best i can be thru surrender and obedience to God and His word. So im thinking here this morning on the fact that the most obvious way to step out of Gods will is to commit deliberate sin. I kind of think of it as premeditated sin. I often hear believers try to justify partial obedience...and our reason for partial obedience may sound logical...but that dont change the fact that we are still in rebellion. Excuses and justifications wont sway God in the slightest. God dont alter His will and way to accommodate our human desires. Instead...He looks for and takes delight in a faithful follower. Are you trying to rationalize a decision or behavior? Perhaps youve offered God reasons for pursuing a certain path. Or maybe you have tried bargaining with God. I assure you God is not moved by any arguments..reasons or excuses! Remember....Partial obedience is full disobedience in Gods eyes. And no sin...is worth being outside the will of God...is it...Think about it!
