If you read in the press release the earlier product EVS was certified by the FAA for Gulfstream. Some of the stuff on the web is outdated and includes security stuff, which is not relevant to PALS. My guess is that some of the security technology is being used for the next generation product PALS.
I also did some further research and FedEx is also using it and it's FAA certified. I would not discount this announcement....this new PALS system is better and much less expensive. Therefore, this means more aircraft manufacturers can afford it, which means bigger market and future revenues....it even has Gary Balls email address....why don't you send him an email.
