I got $11 Dec 2018 Puts a few months ago. I’m well in the green, but I’m debating if I should sell before earnings. There are a lot of good pints both ways but I think bulls are missing two key things.

First, recently the Chief Strategy Officer and VP of Marketing have announced they will be stepping down this fall. I never think it’s a good sign when folks at these positions are stepping down prior to earnings. It tells me that the marketing and company strategy haven’t been working and underperformance will be placed on those on their way out. This happened earlier in the year when 120 engineers were laid off after the redesign.

Second, I anticipate added losses due to another (foolish) Spectacles launch. $200 camera/AR glasses that no one is buying. All this talk about Gen Z loving Snap but how often do you see them wearing the glasses? Not a good indicator of growth and adoption if you ask me.

Long term Snap could grow...but I’m here for the short money.
