What you seem to be missing is the stock market is always ... ALWAYS forward looking! Doesn’t matter what happened 3 years ago!!
What matters is now and going forward! And just today, PLUG announced (and I assume with Andy’s blessing) an increase over and above the guidance given nearly a year ago!
What that might tell me is that with that extra revenue we may, in the short term, go profitable in Q4 rather than just hoping to get to breakeven! And in the very short term of Q3 report have another banner quarter, but this time, beat on revenue and earnings!!! Hello! Can you say $5 or $6.00? I wouldn’t be surprised to see a run up to $2.50 or more before the Q3 Report!

What also tends to go unrewarded in the midst of our complaining of missed benchmarks of the past is the growth and diversity PLUG has undertaken under Andy’s guidance!
In five years PLUG has gone from laboratory to manufacturer of ALL of its own fuel cells, including just this year of acquiring the ability to inexpensively produce its own membrane, which is the key and most expensive part of the fuel cell stack!
This will certainly add to profitability.

And if that were not enough, Andy had the foresight to provide the ability to build H2 infrastructure for its customers, as well as, sell them the hydrogen which then becomes an ongoing monthly revenue stream!

I have been in business for myself for 35 years with 25 employees and know the planning and sacrifices it takes to build up a second and third division of a company and get it all to become profitable!

Andy has done all this and continues to fund the R&D of the company so as not to be caught flat-footed by saving a few bucks by perhaps becoming profitable sooner at the expense of growth!

Could we be better served by a “Steve Jobs” at the helm? Perhaps. But Andy’s doing a pretty good job!
