I might be mistaken but I thought there were 14 states that have mj on their ballots for November. If it passes, am not sure when it goes into effect.

In many states it already is legal. CA is just one of them. In Tx, it is still not legal, but but they lowered the punishment. I believe if you are now caught with mj, it is just a misdemeanor and treated like a ticket, but am not sure how much you must have in your possession to be treated as a ticket.
