I agree that the idea of such a project getting financed has always been daunting, but to me, having a demo tower really pushed this project into the realm of possibility for financing.

We all have agreed for a long time that with no demo, who would ever give up that much money to back the first Tower? But now there is the demo, and they are working on the presentation of the results for the potential financiers. This is a much better point than they were at a few years ago when they first set up Arizona Green Power and were looking for PPAs.

As for pumping water up so high, I think the Milwaukee School of Engineering may have worked on this problem. I don't know how they plan on doing it, but it will not be a straight shot up the tower. The Burj Khalifa needed to move it up in steps. However, SWET did not work out this problem, rather an Engineering School did, so it does not worry me too much.

PPAs must come first, but then hopefully the financing will follow.
