I'm just copying my thought on another board now that it's safer to speak my mind
"SQM bad decision did not hurt them at all. After all they"stole" half of a multi billion dollars for just $25 mils and they were made whole and than some by the Gangfeng deal. They also don't need additional lithium any time soon. Their expanding of the Chile based property and investments in Australia probably made them realize that the Argentina project would have resulted in unwanted competition. I think they were likely responsible for delaying the project. That should work out well for LAC assuming that Gangfeng turns out to be a more reliable partner
