We live in a world that in the reality of life...most folks dont have a relationship with Jesus...they have never been "born-again". Even when we narrow it down to the USA...only about 25% profess to be saved...church going... and in the reality of that number far fewer are actually saved. I say that because calling yourself a "christian"...is a far cry from actually being "born-again. We do understand that Jesus said...not Rick...Jesus said you must be born-again. That means we put our faith and trust in Jesus...What Jesus did on the cross by laying down His life for us...His death and resurrection..we confess and repent of our sin filled life and we are born-again. Just because we walk a aisle...say a prayer...and maybe even get a tear in our eye...dont mean that we have been saved...dont mean we are born-again....meaning...if we are living life with one foot in the world...the other in heaven...so to speak...if folks have a hard time seeing the new creation is us because they see just as much satan as Jesus...see us living pretty much like we always did....there is most likely a problem..and that would be a heart problem...and remember...we might fool each other but there is no fooling God! For the unsaved..upon death...in the blink of the eye...they will be in the torment of Hades awaiting judgement day to go before God the Father and at that time they will be on their knees...their face..."every knee shall bow"...and they will be banished to the lake of fire for all eternity! How sad! There is also some folks that may be reading this that profess to be a christian but they are also going to be in the blink of the eye...in the torment of Hades awaiting judgement. And why is that? Going to church regularly...reading the Bible...doing good deeds...helping others...giving money...dont make a person saved...a christian...born-again. Scripture tells us that few will find the gates of heaven and many will find the gates of hell. Scripture also tells us that many on that day will go before the Father thinking they have a home in heaven and God will tell them..."Depart from me i never knew you". Folks...what im saying...and im not trying to make you doubt your salvation nor am i questioning your salvation...but there are countless people in the USA and the world that really and truly "think" they are heaven bound when they die because they try and live a pretty good and decent life and they do much of the religious stuff and the reality of it is...they are not truly saved! Simply because we try and do the right things..if we dont actually have a personal relationship with Jesus based on what Jesus did on that old rugged cross...then we truly have not been "born-again". So i ask this morning. Where do you stand on this side of eternity? Is your name truly wrote in the "Book of Life"...or...have you been mislead and lied to. There are no do overs once we draw our last breath...when we step foot into eternity...our final destination awaits us...Think about it!
