We have a lot of wild boars around here, and feral hogs, the ones that have escaped from their pens and roam around destroying people's farms, causing quite a bit of financial damage.

It's open season on them year round. They are good eats, but you have to hang them upside down, slice the throat, and bleed them out first.

And then cook them very, very slowly.
