chrisbaskett (& others): There is one other possible issue that I'm not sure how to take into account. When people track Elliott waves in large companies, the share count remains relatively static. (Option issuance and share purchase plans usually aren't significant enough to affect things) In our case, if what other posters are saying is correct, the company has a plan to issue shares to fund future expansion and this has the effect of diluting the share price, even though the overall value of the company may be rising. If we have gone from 480 million shares to 530 million shares outstanding (the billion authorized is technically irrelevant until they are issued), then the market capitalization is 10% higher at the same share price.
