I do hope Dr. Whitney is training an engineer or scientist or two as assistant(s), for one-man-genius companies scare me a little. And what a great company Itronics seems to be turning into, thanks to Whitney's genius. What an original thinker. Fertilizer, electronic waste and 'green' ore and tailings processing. Who else would have made the connections?

When I was a grad student at the University of New Mexico, I staked claims, etc. once or twice for a mining geologist who was also a pilot and ran his own small company. I was very sad to read, several years later, that he had died along with several professors from eastern New Mexico. Flew into a box canyon in western New Mexico when overloaded. Yet when I flew with him, he was an extremely careful pilot. I was out of school when he died, and never did hear what happened to his company.
