I appreciate your comments, despite my 'ramblings', it was very clear all along that you are the probably the straightest guy on the Forum. Dad went in 2010, the same day as Tony Curtis and Mum, well, only the Big Guy 'Upstairs', should there be one, has the details on when to 'close the book'. I will be taking her a load of Magazines/Grit/Reading material for her to look at. She's not yet confined to bed, but her ability to move around is worsening, so it may not be long when she needs a Wheel Chair...if she gets that far, but she does need a walking aid. I was scolded for even suggesting it! She is 2O minutes from here which is 9 miles under normal driving conditions.
Whilst it hasn't been confirmed, it's almost certain to be Cancer of the Abdomen which at her age, is inoperable. I think the phone will ring sometime soon to tell me her condition, which I think will suddenly deteriorate. It's all Pretty sad, but most people of my age group lost their folks a fair time back, not only that, I have lost about 25% of people who I was friendly with from the 60s - 90s. When those relatively young people here, get to their 50s/60s, it is a sad fact that family & friends will gradually disappear. I have one brother, but I have no more living relatives apart from Cousins who I have seen since the mid 60s, but I have two Nephews and a Niece. All you can do is keep an eye on your lifestyle...DO NOT SMOKE and don't drink too much and keep your diet as healthy as poss. I cycle as much as I can during the fine weather. It keeps my Stomach flat and improves my Lung and breathing Capacity. High Impact Aerobics was knocked on the head some time back. It's not good for the joints!
