One subject not discussed is revenue. They have been talking aprox. $2 per patch which the customer will continue to buy for as long as they are on the system. Which leaves the transmitter as the other source of revenue. Has anyone heard any projections as to the price of the transmitter?
Perspective:
I just ordered a Dexcom G6 which costs $1800 with 30 day supply of patches, my Blue Cross covers 70%. The patches sell for almost $400 per month.
Opinions:
Should the price of the transmitter be low so patients will buy aprox. $700 a year in patches?
Or should it be priced higher since insurers will probably cover this?
