New Methodology Gives CipherLoc Customers Added Ddge Against Network Intruders

AUSTIN, TX / ACCESSWIRE / October 9, 2018 / CipherLoc Corporation (OTCQB: CLOK), a leading provider of highly-secure data protection technology, today announced that it was informed of the Notice of Allowance for its third patent with the US Patent and Trademark Office, entitled "Local Area Network Electronic Perimeter Security."The patent details a hardware method for detecting passive listeners, also known as "sniffers," on a hard-wired network, then responding through active countermeasures.

"This patent enables hardware to identify an electronic eavesdropper even if they do not actively send signals on the network," said Dr. Albert Carlson, Chief Scientist at CipherLoc Corporation. "Passive listeners have always been nearly impossible to detect. However, CipherLoc's new patented technology makes it possible to detect illicit sniffers at critical times in the data transmission process, then take action to render them ineffective through a blinding process. An IT department partnered with CipherLoc can use this methodology to schedule and direct physical checks on the network once an intrusion is detected."

CipherLoc's newly patented technology is part of a multipronged method of securing a network. The technology allows for the detection of unauthorized passive network activities, then the customer can take additional actions to further obscure data being sent on the network. It also alerts the IT staff to check the network to identify intruders or unauthorized parties that should not be in the system. In many cases it is also possible to identify specifically what part of the network is being attacked.

"This is the newest development in CipherLoc's suite of tools that protect data in all phases of transmission," said Michael DeLaGarza, CEO of CipherLoc Corporation. "External hackers or even unauthorized users within an organization are using increasingly sophisticated attacks in their quest for data. CipherLoc is committed to ensuring that our customers' data is protected with the most advanced encryption technologies available, rendering it unusable to an outside party. This newest technology goes a step further, enabling our customers to insert another layer of security against passive threats to support not just detection, but also an active response to thwart the intruder's efforts."
