I guess there’s 2 options. You choose to lower your cost basis with the dividend. If that’s the case you can’t really say my cb. Is xxx and I’ve made xxx in dividends. I choose to keep my cost basis as my real cb (purchase price) and can say I’ve made xxx in dividends.
