I personally don’t subtract my dividends off my cost basis. To me that would be like double dipping. To say my cost basis is 10 cause I got 32,000 in dividends per year. . I prefer to look at it as. I got 32k in dividends per year . But I’m down 9k on the stock overall. In the near future I hope to be at 32k per and up 40-60 k I need a stock price of 13.50 -14.50 to achieve this milestone.
