(COP) (ticker: COP), a large energy exploration and production outfit based in Houston, plans to raise its dividend 7% to 30.5 cents a share. The higher dividend is payable on Dec. 3 to stockholders of record at the close of business on Oct. 15. The increase is the second dividend boost the company has announced this year.
